Information Kroi may handle
Depending on the Kroi features you use, information may include account details, linked-device information, source or service configuration, Kroi billing and entitlement records, notification preferences, and operational or security events.
The public website may also use limited browser storage needed for session behavior and preferences. The Cookies page explains the current website categories.
Why Kroi uses information
- To provide account, device, source, pairing, and playback features.
- To validate and maintain Kroi Premium entitlement.
- To deliver selected service or security notifications.
- To protect customers, Kroi, and connected services from misuse.
- To operate, troubleshoot, and improve service reliability.
Source details and sensitive information
Provider and source credentials are treated as sensitive. Kroi is designed to keep them out of logs, pairing patterns and handoff links, ordinary customer screens, notifications, and routine customer exports.
No online service can promise absolute security. Kroi applies protective controls appropriate to the information and limits sensitive access to the purposes that require it.
Retention and customer controls
Retention is set by the type and purpose of the information rather than keeping every record indefinitely. Account, security, notification, billing, and source-operation records can require different retention periods.
Verified access, export, correction, or deletion requests follow the customer-account and privacy-request paths available for the service. Some financial, security, or legal records may need to be retained when required.
Privacy requests
Canonical privacy contact details will be published with customer support information. Do not send provider passwords or source credentials through a general support channel.
